Andy Murray says that he will "need to play well to win" against Spain's Nicolas Almagro at Wimbledon later today.

Team GB's Andy Murray believes that he will have to serve well if he is going to overcome Spain's Nicolas Almagro and earn a place in the last four of the men's singles draw at London 2012.

The 25-year-old British number one had to come from behind to beat Marcos Baghdatis yesterday, while Almagro comfortably dispatched Steve Darcis in straight sets.

"The reason why his ranking has gone into the top 10 is because he's been playing better on the other surfaces this year," said Murray. "He's a tough player.

"He takes a lot of risks on the court. He goes for his shots, doesn't hold back. He doesn't have loads of variation but he can overpower you.

"I'll need to play well to win. If I serve like I did in the last couple of sets [against Baghdatis], that will help me out a lot."

The players are due on Court One at 12pm.
