Jo-Wilfried Tsonga: 'I am coming back at a great level'

Number 19 seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is confident that he is coming back to "a great level" following his progression into the quarter-finals of the US Open.

Number 19 seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has insisted that he is getting back to an impressive level after he sealed progression into the last eight of the US Open.

The Frenchman moved beyond the last-16 round having defeated fellow countryman Benoit Paire in straight sets, and Tsonga has now stated that he is feeling confident following a troublesome period with injuries earlier in the year.

"I had a problem at the end of last year, the beginning of this year. But I'm coming back at a great level," Tsonga said after the match.

Tsonga will now face defending champion Marin Cilic in the quarter-finals.
