Greg Rusedski: Murray has "great chance" of winning Wimbledon

Greg Rusedski believes that Andy Murray can prevail at Wimbledon later this month, although he also acknowledges that Novak Djokovic will be extremely tough to overcome.

Former British number one Greg Rusedski has backed Andy Murray to claim a second Wimbledon title this summer.

The 28-year-old finds himself in good form heading into the season's third Grand Slam event, having suffered just one defeat on clay so far this year - a narrow five-set loss against Novak Djokovic at the French Open last weekend.

Murray was also edged out by world number one Djokovic in the final of the Australian Open in February, although Rusedski believes that the 2013 Wimbledon winner has a "great chance" of matching that title-winning feat this year.

"He goes in as second favourite behind Djokovic who has to be the man to beat right now obviously being the defending champion, but Murray is healthy again and playing great," he told Sky Sports News. "I think he's got a great chance.

"Since he's been married he's only lost one match out of 16 so I think this could possibly be his year again. What will be fascinating will be how the seedings come out at Wimbledon because they can play with those seedings. Will he be seeded two or three? That could make a difference at these championships."

Murray's only other Grand Slam success came at the 2012 US Open.
