Marin Cilic has secured his place in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon with a victory in four sets over American Denis Kudla.
During the early stages, Kudla, who was making his first appearance in the fourth round of a Grand Slam, didn't look overawed by the occasion, but he dropped the opening set after failing to hold serve in the 10th game.

However, the American fought back in the second set as he put the 26-year-old on the back foot and managed to carve out a break of serve to level the match.
Cilic produced an emphatic response in the third as he broke Kudla three times with a series of aggressive strokes to take back the momentum and the advantage in the match with a 6-3 victory.
The duo were embroiled in a fierce battle in the fourth as they cancelled out openings to leave the set in the balance. However, the number nine seed produced his best tennis to secure his second break of the set, clinching it 7-5 to book his place in the next round of the competition.
Cilic will face the winner of the match between world number one Novak Djokovic and Kevin Anderson in the last eight.
