Tom Brady has said that the New England Patriots' young wide receivers cannot afford to make mistakes.
The AFC East side lost their 2012 receiving yards leader Wes Welker during free agency, while tight end Rob Gronkowski is absent from training as he continues to recovery from back surgery.
The 35-year-old quarterback told The Boston Globe: "I don't want to be a grumpy old guy. I understand there's a learning curve and there's a patience.
"I think you try to let them know though, that there's an urgency about it, so it's not like you can afford mistakes."
Brady has been working with rookie receivers Aaron Dobson, Josh Boyce and undrafted free agent Kenbrell Thompkins during recent practices.
