South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius has admitted that he acted like a sore loser after relinquishing his 200m Paralympic title to Brazil's Alan Oliveira.
The 25-year-old sparked controversy after accusing the gold medallist of having his artificial legs, known as blades, too long and argued that his competitor had an unfair advantage.
Following his outburst, Pistorius went on to win gold in the 4x100m with South Africa.
"One of the things I've learned - you can be humble when you win, it's easy," said Pistorius. "But to be gracious when you lose, that's not something I did and I'm very sorry for that."
Pistorius set a new world record time of 41.78s with his compatriots in the relay last night.
