Arsene Wenger confirms Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is out for four weeks with injury

Arsene Wenger confirms that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will be out for three to four weeks with a hamstring injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss three to four weeks of action with a hamstring injury.

The 21-year-old suffered the problem in the second half of the Gunners' 2-1 victory over Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Monday evening.

In this morning's press conference, Wenger revealed the extent of the injury and told reporters: "It's frustrating for him but he's played more games this season than before. He's shown his importance."

Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss this weekend's clash against West Ham United, as well as Arsenal's crucial Champions League last-16 match away to Monaco, and a league fixture against Liverpool.

The winger is also expected to miss England's meetings with Lithuania and Italy later this month.
