Kieran Gibbs has warned that England must not produce a repeat of their first-half display in the 1-1 draw with Italy earlier this week.
A sluggish start in Turin handed the advantage to the hosts on Tuesday before Andros Townsend came off the bench to cancel out Graziano Pelle's opener, and Gibbs admits that the need for improvement is clear.
"I felt we weren't good enough in the first half," the Arsenal defender told reporters. "We picked it up in second half, but it's frustrating because we know we can do better.
"They made it frustrating for us, obviously had a lot of bodies behind the ball.
"We were definitely told at half time that we needed to change that. We did. It's just frustrating - we don't want to let that happen again, where we take 45 minutes to get into a game."
England's next test will be a trip to Dublin to take on the Republic of Ireland in a friendly in June.
