Ignasi Miquel wants more appearances following his Champions League debut.

Ignasi Miquel wants to push for more appearances following his European debut against Olympiakos on Tuesday night.

The Spanish defender came on as a replacement for the injured Andre Santos in the second half and made an immediate impact with a hand in Yossi Benayoun's goal.

The youngster is hoping to use the experience as a springboard to bigger and better things at the Emirates.

"It was amazing, it was a great atmosphere," he told Arsenal's official site.

"I never expected it to be like this and making my debut in the Champions League is great for me.

"Unfortunately we lost but it was my next step for me. I just need to get here more often now."

Miquel joined Arsenal in 2008.
