Bacary Sagna has revealed that he has "no regrets" about leaving Arsenal for Manchester City at the start of the season but has insisted that he would like more minutes at right-back.
The French defender ended his seven-year stint with the Gunners in June last year by signing with City on a free, after the expiration of his contract with the London club.
However, since completing his move, Sagna has been struggling to secure a starting spot on the right-hand side as he competes with Pablo Zabaleta for the full-back position.
"I don't have any regrets [leaving Arsenal], I needed something new," the 32-year-old told Sky Sports News.
"Many people said I left for money but not at all. There's a real project at Man City and I want to be a part of it. I'm giving the maximum to get to play and to improve.
"Of course I want to play more games. I like competition and I like to play football and I like to get involved. It's a part of life where you need to keep your head up, keep working hard and then maybe my time will come."
City will be looking to finish the current season in the top four, after recent performances saw them lose their grasp on the race for the Premier League crown.
Manuel Pellegrini's side face Aston Villa this weekend.
