Inter Milan are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal's Folarin Balogun this summer, with the striker impressing during a loan spell in France this season.
Having made the temporary switch from the Emirates to Ligue 1 outfit Reims in August 2022, the 21-year-old bagged 21 goals in 37 league appearances for Will Still's side, finishing behind only Kylian Mbappe, Alexandre Lacazette and Jonathan David in the division's Golden Boot race.
The USA international made his debut for The Stars and Stripes on Thursday night in a fiesty encounter with rivals Mexico in the CONCACAF Nations League, playing 75 minutes in a game which saw four red cards handed out.
According to the Daily Mail, Inter Milan are keen on bringing Balogun to Serie A next season, with the likes of Edin Dzeko not guaranteed to be at the club past this transfer window amid interest from Fenerbahce.
It is believed that Inter's sporting director Piero Ausilio held initial discussions with the player and his representatives in London on Thursday, with talks expected to continue on Friday.
The report claims that the Gunners would prefer a permanent move for the striker and are demanding a fee of £40m, however it is understood that the Nerazzurri would favour a loan deal.
Balogun is reportedly keen to play regular first-team football again next term after a productive spell at Reims, although it appears that Mikel Arteta has Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah ahead of the American in his pecking order.
