Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering a move for Real Valladolid defender Mohammed Salisu as they look to plan for next season.
The 20-year-old has been a regular starter for the Spanish club this season, scoring once in 25 appearances and playing a central role in what has been La Liga's sixth-best defence.
Although his lack of experience is believed to be a worry, Marca reports that Atletico are favouring a move now because they see it as a fantastic market opportunity.
The Ghanaian's release clause at Valladolid is just €12m (£10m) and Los Rojiblancos are aware that several other leading clubs are circling around the young defender.
Valencia and Getafe are both believed to have made unsuccessful approaches for Salisu in the winter transfer window.
