Eric Abidal included in Barcelona's Champions League squad

Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova names defender Eric Abidal in his 25-man squad for the Champions League.

Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova has included French defender Eric Abidal in his 25-man squad for their Champions League campaign this season.

The 32-year-old left-back is still recovering from a liver transplant he underwent in April this year, but the Catalan giants feel that he will regain his full fitness this season.

Vilanova has also named summer signing Alex Song in his team for the Blaugrana's European adventure.

Teenage forward Gerard Deulofeu too has been made part of the squad, as have defenders Marc Bartra and Martin Montoya and midfielder Jonathan dos Santos.

Barcelona have been drawn against Benfica, Celtic and Spartak Moscow in Group G.
