Barcelona-linked striker Antoine Griezmann has revealed that a decision on his Atletico Madrid future is close to being formally made.
The 27-year-old wants the uncertainty to end prior to the World Cup finals, where he will be representing France for at least the next two-and-a-half weeks.
Griezmann is under contract with Atletico until 2022 and is understood to have been offered improved terms, but Barca are refusing to give up in their pursuit and are prepared to trigger his release clause if he indicates that he is open to a transfer.
Asked after France's 1-1 draw with the United States on Saturday night whether there has been any development, the ex-Real Sociedad ace told reporters: "It's good that you're taking an interest! There's a week to go. I think we will find out this week."
France boss Didier Deschamps is also said to have told Thomas Lemar, touted as a target for numerous clubs, to resolve his future before Les Bleus' June 16 opener against Australia.
