Newcastle United's Shane Ferguson joins Birmingham City for a second loan spell for the duration of next season.

Birmingham City have completed the season-long loan signing of Shane Ferguson from Newcastle United.

The move sees Ferguson, 22, return to St Andrew's where he spent most of the second half of last season on loan.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be able to bring Shane in," Blues manager Lee Clark told the club's official website. "It's taken the longest of all the deals but he was one I wasn't going to give up on.

"He did really well for us last season and I'm sure the fans are very happy to have him back. I think it will be good move for him playing week in and week out, which he hasn't really done at a first-team level, because he'll get stronger and stronger."

Left-sider Ferguson signed a five-year contract with Newcastle back in 2011.
