How Borussia Dortmund could line up against Sevilla

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Borussia Dortmund could line up in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Sevilla.

Borussia Dortmund will be looking to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League when they welcome Sevilla for the second leg of their last-16 tie on Tuesday night.

BVB, who have a 3-2 advantage from the first leg, will definitely be without the services of Marcel Schmelzer and Axel Witsel, while Manuel Akanji is again unlikely to be available due to a muscular injury.

Giovanni Reyna, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Guerreiro, meanwhile, were absent against Bayern Munich on Saturday, and all three are doubts for the European contest.

Reyna and Guerreiro are thought to have a better chance of featuring than Sancho, and interim head coach Edin Terzic is expected to hand Thorgan Hazard another start in the final third of the field.

Erling Braut Haaland had to be substituted against Bayern in the Bundesliga on Saturday after taking a heavy kick, but the Norway international should be available to lead the line once again.

Marco Reus and Hazard could operate behind the Norwegian, with Jude Bellingham, who started the first leg in Seville, potentially featuring as part of a midfield three.

Akanji's expected absence should mean that Emre Can starts alongside Mats Hummels in the middle of the defence, while Mateu Morey is likely to return to the XI, having started on the bench against Bayern.

Dortmund possible starting lineup: Hitz; Morey, Can, Hummels, Guerreiro; Delaney, Bellingham, Dahoud; Reus, Hazard; Haaland
