Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe believes his side's 1-1 draw against Leicester City this afternoon was a good result, after a second half that was disrupted by injuries.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has suggested that his side's draw with Leicester City this afternoon was a good result.

The Cherries had led for much of the match thanks to a Callum Wilson overhead kick, but a late Jamie Vardy penalty ensured the day's spoils were shared between the two sides.

Both sides struggled to create chances in a second half that was disrupted due to injuries picked up by Tyrone Mings and Max Gradel, which led to eight minutes being added to the end of the match.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Howe said: "It was difficult for us with the injuries. It's strange that you see that many players go off in the same area of the pitch.

"It also wasn't good for the other players to see. We are such a tight-knit group here.

"Callum [Wilson] has provided another great finish. He caught it very well and it put us in a good position at half time.

"Unfortunately we couldn't hold on, but it's still a good point for us."

Bournemouth will take on Norwich City after the international break.
