Luis Enrique: "It was a good night for us"

Celta Vigo boss Luis Enrique reveals his delight following Monday's 4-1 win over Real Valladolid.

Celta Vigo boss Luis Enrique has praised his side following Monday's 4-1 win over Real Valladolid.

The three points moved the club into 10th position in the table and mathematically confirmed their spot in La Liga for next season.

"It was a good night for us. A good night for everyone involved with the club," he told reporters at a press conference.

"We knew it was going to be difficult because they needed the three points, but we were effective in possession and played some nice football. I thought we were far superior to them.

"The players deserve every success because they have put so much work in this season. It's been a difficult year, but it seems that now everyone's forgotten about what happened in November and December."

Celta have lost just one of their last five in the league.
