Roberto Di Matteo refuses to comment on speculation linking Pep Guardiola with the managerial job at Chelsea.

Chelsea interim manager Roberto Di Matteo has refused to be drawn on speculation linking Pep Guardiola with a move to Stamford Bridge.

The Barcelona coach announced today that he will end his four-year term at the Nou Camp in the summer, with rumours already suggesting that a move to the Premier League is in the pipeline.

Reports have claimed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will try to lure the Spaniard to London now that the illustrious manager is available.

When asked if his future at the Blues is in jeopardy following Guardiola's decision to step down from the Spanish giants, Di Matteo said: "He is a role model for every manager, what he has achieved in a short space of time, I'm not sure anybody can replicate it.

"He knows what he does, he's a fantastic man. He's had tremendous success, but he has decided what is best for his career and his family."

Barcelona confirmed shortly after Guardiola's announcement that assistant coach Tito Vilanova will take over from the 41-year-old next season.
