Barcelona defeat Chelsea in UEFA Youth League final

Barcelona win the UEFA Youth League after registering a 3-0 victory over Chelsea in Monday's final in Nyon.

Chelsea have failed in their attempt to win the UEFA Youth League after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Barcelona in the final.

On Friday, Chelsea came through a dramatic penalty shootout with Porto in the semi-finals, and the Blues had been looking to win the tournament for the third time since 2015.

However, Barcelona proved too good on Monday night as they completed a double over English opposition after defeating Manchester City in the last four.

Alejandro Marques opened the scoring for the Spanish outfit in the 33rd minute before the youngster netted a second strike shortly after half time.

In added-on time, Abel Ruiz added a third as Chelsea were left to rue hitting the woodwork on two occasions earlier in the match.

Barcelona now join Chelsea on two titles, with the Catalan side having previously won the tournament in 2014.
