Chelsea are reportedly said to be plotting a surprise deadline-day move for Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.
The Blues have already signed Gonzalo Higuain this month but remain in the market for a midfielder to replace Cesc Fabregas, who left for Monaco earlier in the transfer window.
According to The Mirror, Doucoure is now a top target for Chelsea and he is "in their sights" for a switch to Stamford Bridge today.
The 26-year-old has already been linked with French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain this month after notching up three goals and five assists for a Hornets side that are aiming for a top-half finish this term.
The Frenchman was absent from his side's 2-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur last night due to a reported knee injury.
