Khouma Babacar fires ten-man Fiorentina to victory over Genoa

Senegalese striker Khouma Babacar's second-half header fires ten-man Fiorentina to victory over Genoa in Serie A.

Khouma Babacar has fired ten-man Fiorentina to victory over Genoa in Serie A.

After an uneventful first half, the Senegalese striker rose highest to head home former West Brom midfielder Borja Valero's cross on the hour mark.

However only five minutes later Croatian midfielder Milan Badelj was sent off after picking up his second yellow card.

Swiss midfielder Blerim Dzemaili had a good opportunity to equalise for Genoa, but blazed over from the edge of the box.

Fiorentina, who are managed by former Swansea and Leicester City boss Paolo Sousa, host FC Basel in the Europa League on Thursday.
