Andrea Ranocchia furious over disallowed goal

Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia believes that his side had a goal wrongly ruled out during their Serie A clash with AC Milan.

Inter Milan captain Andrea Ranocchia has slammed the performance of the match officials during his side's goalless draw with city rivals AC Milan this evening.

The Nerazzurri thought that they had taken the lead in the second half when Philippe Mexes turned the ball into his own net, but the goal was ruled out for an alleged foul by Rodrigo Palacio on Luca Antonelli in the build-up.

Inter also felt that they should have been given a penalty when Antonelli appeared to handle a shot from Hernanes, but it was not spotted and Ranocchia has since expressed his anger over the decisions from the referee.

"They disallowed a goal and said there was a foul, I didn't see it," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"The worst thing was the penalty, as it was shocking. So obvious. What are all these officials doing here if they can't see that?

"You can't fail to see a penalty like that in a derby. It weighs too heavily on the outcome. Too heavily."

The result means that Inter remain in 10th place in the Serie A table.
