Ipswich Town have completed the signing of French Guinea midfielder Cheick Kourouma.
The 20-year-old has signed a one-year contract at Portman Road following a successful trial spell over the summer.
Kourouma was expected to join Town before the start of the season before their plans were thwarted due to registration issues.
"There was so much red tape involved and clubs were coming out of the woodwork that it looked like it was not going to work," manager Paul Jewell told the club's official website.
"I was disappointed for the lad but the club have cut their way through the red tape and got over the line in the end."
Ipswich travel to Middlesbrough in the Championship on Saturday.
