Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers: 'We're still in a good position in the league'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists that the team are in a "good position", despite dropping points against West Bromwich Albion.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that his team are still in a "good position", despite dropping points in the Premier League over the weekend.

The Merseyside outfit remain in fourth place in the table, but sit just two points ahead of rivals Everton following a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Sunday.

"It was a game that, of course, we wanted to win and a game that we're disappointed we didn't win, but overall, it's a point further away from our rivals," Rodgers told the club's official website.

"We're still in a good position. We've been looking to average two points per game this season.

"This was the fifth game in a block of five and we've gone over our target, by taking 11 points from a possible 15."

The Reds are eight points adrift of leaders Arsenal in the standings.
