Stoke City close to completing deals for two new players?

A report claims that Stoke City are closing in on the double capture of Joe Allen and Ramadan Sobhi from Liverpool and Al Ahly respectively.

Stoke City are hopeful of finalising moves for both Joe Allen and Ramadan Sobhi next week, according to a report.

Boss Mark Hughes recently revealed that his side were closing in on Al Ahly ace Sobhi, while £15m-rated Liverpool midfielder Allen is also a target.

Neither transfer has yet been pushed over the line, but The Mirror reports that an £18.5 double deal is likely to be completed in the next few days once the final details are ironed out.

Swansea City may offer some late competition for Wales international Allen, however, as owner Huw Jenkins has admitted that the club would love to bring their former player back.
