Ralf Rangnick is yet to hold 'concrete talks' with Manchester United over his future role at the club, according to a report.

Ralf Rangnick has reportedly not yet held 'concrete talks' with Manchester United over his future role at the club.

The German will remain in his position as interim head coach of the Red Devils for the remainder of the 2021-22 campaign, and the understanding is that he will then step into a consultancy role at the club.

However, according to Bild, there is no formal agreement between Rangnick and Man United, with the alleged consultancy role with the 20-time English champions 'yet to be concretised'.

The report claims that there is instead 'a letter of intent', and there have been 'no discussions' between the club and the 63-year-old over his role past the end of the campaign.

Rangnick has impressed since taking charge of the Red Devils in December, boasting a record of eight wins, six draws and one defeat from his 15 matches at the helm.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino is viewed as the favourite to replace the German as head coach of Man United this summer, although Ajax's Erik ten Hag has also been strongly linked with the position vacated by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer towards the end of last year.
