Wayne Rooney has said that he is happy with playing in midfield after Manchester United's 2-0 win against Otelul Gulati at Old Trafford.

The England international, who started in a central position with Anderson, was on the scoresheet late on to secure United a second consecutive win in the competition.

"I'm good enough to play anywhere on the pitch, so if the manager wants me to play there I'll do that," he told Sky Sports News.

The Red Devils host Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday.
