Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is 'open' to listening to Manchester United about a potential move to Old Trafford, according to a report.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly 'open' to listening to Manchester United about a potential move to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.

Tuchel's position with the Blues has become unclear due to the club's serious off-the-field problems, and there have been claims that Man United have identified the German as their number one choice to become the team's next permanent manager, with Ralf Rangnick set to step aside this summer.

According to The Athletic, due to Chelsea's current troubles, Tuchel would be 'open' to hearing Man United's 'pitch' regarding a possible move to Manchester.

A recent report claimed that the Red Devils are keen to appoint the 48-year-old as their new head coach before the end of the season in what would be a bitter blow to his current side.

Paris Saint-Germain's Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax's Erik ten Hag are still believed to be in the running for the position alongside Spain's Luis Enrique and Sevilla's Julen Lopetegui.

However, Tuchel has now proven himself in the Premier League, while the German led the Blues to last season's Champions League crown and has also secured the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup during his relatively short time in charge of the English giants.

Chelsea booked their spot in the quarter-finals of this season's Champions League courtesy of a 2-1 win over Lille in the second leg of their last-16 clash on Wednesday night.
