Giovanni Bia claims that Lazio want his client and Manchester United striker Federico Macheda to return to the club at the end of the season.

Federico Macheda's agent has claimed that Lazio want to re-sign the striker from Manchester United.

However, Giovanni Bia says that Stuttgart, where the 21-year-old is on loan for the rest of the season, have the option to sign the Italian on a permanent deal in the summer.

"For the moment there is not that possibility [of a move to Lazio]," Bia told Tuttomercatoweb.com. "He is fine in Germany, the club are very pleased.

"Lazio is the club where he grew up and they would like him to come home, but it all depends on Stuttgart, who have the option to buy him at the end of the season."

Macheda, who joined Stuttgart on loan in January, left Lazio for United when he was 16 years of age.
