Federico Macheda has insisted that he will not 'give up' on his long-term goal of establishing himself in the Manchester United first team.
The 22-year-old has struggled to hold down first-team football at Old Trafford since bursting onto the scene at the end of the 2008-09 campaign.
He joined Doncaster Rovers on loan earlier this month and marked his full debut with two goals in their 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
"I'm not giving up on anything. I'm here to show everyone what I can do and who I am," Macheda told the Daily Star.
"I've got nothing to prove - except to myself. I want to enjoy myself playing football, then we will see in the future what happens."
Macheda has also had loan spells with Sampdoria, Queens Park Rangers and Stuttgart.
