Manchester United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for several of their players, including Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, ahead of the January transfer window.
Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane are also believed to be players that The Red Devils may opt to part ways with in the winter transfer period.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is poised to assume sporting control of United as his £1.25bn deal for a 25% stake in the club awaits formal ratification.
According to the Independent, Erik ten Hag is keen to make a statement by considering offers for high-profile players such as Casemiro, Sancho and Varane.
This development comes just days after earlier reports suggested that Ten Hag had lost the support of certain players in the dressing room.
United made a substantial investment of around £60m to acquire Casemiro from Real Madrid in August 2022 and offered the midfielder a four-year contract with a weekly wage of £300,000.
Sancho has been exiled from the first team since falling out with the manager, while Varane has slipped down the pecking order in the starting 11, with Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw, who has just returned from injury, being preferred at centre-back in recent weeks.
While United are expected to be active in the next transfer window, it is understood that new player purchases are only likely to happen if a few existing players are sold.
