Fabrice Muamba: 'No point Harry Kane going to Man United, he won't be main man'

Fabrice Muamba believes that there's "no point" in Harry Kane leaving Tottenham to join Manchester United because he won't be the "main man" at Old Trafford.

Former Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane would be making a mistake by joining Manchester United this summer.

The England international has reportedly been targeted by the Red Devils, who are mulling over a £40m bid for the PFA Young Player of the Year.

Despite United being able to offer Kane Champions League football, Muamba believes that the 21-year-old should stay at White Hart Lane as he is the "main man".

"There is no point in going to United if you're not going to be the main man," Muamba told The Express. "At Spurs, he is the number one player, he is the main guy right now. Unless he is sure that he is going to be the main man at United I would advise him to stay at Spurs and improve his career."

Kane is currently in the Czech Republic with the England Under-21s preparing for the European Championships, which get underway this week.
