MK Dons boss Karl Robinson: "Our finishing was poor" in Birmingham City defeat

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson believes that his side's lack of a clinical edge was to blame for their 2-0 defeat to Birmingham City at Stadium:mk.

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has blamed his side's poor finishing for their 2-0 defeat to Birmingham City.

The Blues took all three points from their Championship clash at Stadium:mk as second-half goals from Stephen Gleeson and Jacques Maghoma handed Gary Rowett's side the win.

Robinson told BBC Sport: "We huffed and puffed in the second half and we got into better positions than we have done all season but we don't want to shoot.

"I said to them that I can't take responsibility for their shooting or our mentality after the first goal but I can take responsibility for my poor substitutions.

"Our finishing was poor and with the first chance they get Stephen, who's a wonderful technician, put it in the perfect position - and then we lost our heads."

MK Dons are 11th in the Championship after five matches this season.
