Liechtenstein have recorded their first victory in Euro 2016 qualifying with a 1-0 triumph away to fellow Group G strugglers Moldova.
Both teams looked to attack during the early stages as Franz Burgmeier fired wide for the visitors with just a minute played, before Artur Ionita's effort was kept out by goalkeeper Benjamin Buchel at the other end.
Moldova started to take control of the contest soon after, and they had a great chance to take the lead on 20 minutes when Radu Ginsari's header was pushed away by Buchel.
The hosts increased their dominance as the half wore on, with Aleksandru Dedov shooting off target after Alexandru Epureanu had missed with a speculative drive from about 35 yards.
Another chance for the Moldovans came with five minutes left in the half, only for Aleksandru Gatcan to be denied by the in-form Buchel.
The home side continued to control the match after the interval, but some poor finishing in the final third from Dedov saw the game remain goalless.
Moldova were made to pay for their wastefulness on 74 minutes when Franz Burgmeier found the net with a superb free kick from the edge of the box, after Petru Racu had fouled Dennis Salanovic.
