Group G strugglers Moldova and Liechtenstein have both failed to find the net during an uninspiring opening half in their Euro 2016 qualifier.
Both teams looked to attack during the early stages as Franz Burgmeier fired wide for the visitors with just a minute played, before Artur Ionita's effort was kept out by goalkeeper Benjamin Buchel at the other end.
Moldova started to take control of the contest soon after, and they had a great chance to take the lead on 20 minutes when Radu Ginsari's header was pushed away by Buchel.
The hosts increased their dominance as the half wore on, with Aleksandru Dedov shooting off target after Alexandru Epureanu had missed with a speculative drive.
A final chance for the Moldovans came with five minutes left in the half, only for Aleksandru Gatcan to be denied by the in-form Buchel as the sides went into the break at 0-0.
