Rafael Benitez hails "united" Napoli

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez says that his players showed the right mentality in their victory against Serie A rivals Hellas Verona.

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has praised his side following their 1-0 victory over Sassuolo this afternoon.

The Azzurri have struggled in recent weeks, but a goal from Jose Callejon saw them get back to winning ways in the league.

"I see this as a victory for the team that rewarded our mentality," Benitez told Sky Sport Italia.

"We only suffered for the final 10 minutes. Clearly every victory can help and we proved that we deserved more from this season.

"Today we were all united and we earned three important points. We worked very well in defence and Sassuolo only created problems with long balls. We were balanced."

Napoli are next in action when they face Slovan Bratislava in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
