Neymar is reportedly the highest-paid player at Paris Saint-Germain, ahead of seven-time Ballon d'or winner Lionel Messi.
Brazilian forward Neymar arrived at the Parc des Princes from Barcelona for a world-record fee of £198m in 2017, and he has since amassed 92 goals and 57 assists in 137 appearances across all competitions.
As for Messi, the legendary Argentine brought an end to his 21-year trophy-laden career with the Catalan giants by switching Camp Nou for PSG last summer; however, he has since struggled to hit the ground running in Paris, scoring only seven goals in 26 games across all tournaments.
Messi's well-documented free transfer to the French capital materialised after Barca could not afford to offer the forward a new contract due to their financial difficulties.
The 34-year-old is now earning a pretty penny at PSG; however, he is not the club's highest earner according to French news outlet L'Equipe, who have released the top 30 earners in Ligue 1.
The top 14 earners on their list are remarkably all occupied by PSG players, with Neymar the highest earner in the division, pocketing €4.083m (£3.4m) per month.
Messi is behind Neymar in second place, earning €3.375m (£2.81m) per month, while PSG's top goalscorer Kylian Mbappe – who is out of contract this summer – is third on the list, earning €2.220m (£1.85m) per month.
Marquinhos and Marco Verratti – both earning €1.2m (£1m) per month – complete the top five, while former Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos does not make the top 10, as his €791,000 (£659,700) monthly wage sees him placed 12th on the list.
