Unai Emery: 'Jese Rodriguez needs time to settle'

Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery says that Jese Rodriguez needs to be given time to settle before being judged on his performances.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery has insisted that Jese Rodriguez will come good for the French champions once he has fully settled into his new surroundings.

Jese, 23, joined PSG from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, having spent the last nine years in the Spanish capital.

The attacker has struggled to make an impact in the early stages of the 2016-17 campaign, but Emery has claimed that the former Spain Under-21 international needs time to settle in France before being judged on his performances on the pitch.

"He's working well but he still hasn't found a house he likes," Emery told Cadena COPE. "He needs to settle in and that's just a question of time, his reaction [to being substituted] was just frustration and that's natural."

Earlier this month, Jese claimed that he was not prepared to sit on the bench for the French champions after starting the season out of Emery's first selection.
