Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp pleased with "vital point"

QPR boss Harry Redknapp praises his team for salvaging a 2-2 draw at home to Stoke on Saturday.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp has praised his team for earning a "vital point" against Stoke City on Saturday.

The R's looked on course for a fourth defeat of the season before Niko Kranjcar's late free kick saw the hosts draw 2-2 at Loftus Road.

"It was a vital point for us in the end. When you're 2-1 down with just five minutes to go you're delighted to come away with a point," Redknapp is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"We were short in some areas but I thought we showed great character to keep going. It's good for the spirit that we didn't get beat."

QPR return to action next Saturday when they travel to Southampton in the Premier League.
