Chris Ramsey hoping to keep hold of in-demand Charlie Austin

Chris Ramsey insists that Queens Park Rangers will make a decision over Charlie Austin's future at the end of the season, but he admits that he would "like to keep him".

Queens Park Rangers manager Chris Ramsey has admitted that the club would like to keep hold of star striker Charlie Austin beyond the end of this season.

The 17-goal hitman is reportedly wanted by a number of Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United and Southampton, who could be tempted into making a £10m bid in the summer.

Ramsey expects an offer to be made for Austin, but he has made it clear that the Englishman remains a part of his future plans.

"He has been a good professional this year and showed his worth and we would like to keep him," he told reporters. "The remaining couple of weeks will tell us what people think he is worth or what he is worth to the club to keep him or let him go."

Rob Green has also been linked with a move away from the relegated R's, although Ramsey has revealed that no approach has yet been made for the experienced goalkeeper.

"I'm not aware of any interest in Robert Green. He's been world class for us - and I don't use that term lightly," he added.

Green has one year left to run on his current deal at Loftus Road.
