Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard is reportedly interested in signing for an MLS side in the summer.

Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard is reportedly contemplating whether to move to the MLS next summer.

Ever since a transfer to the Bernabeu in 2019, Hazard has failed to replicate the form that he showcased during his time at Chelsea.

Hazard has contributed just seven goals and 11 assists from his 72 appearances in all competitions, the playmaker not helped by a number of injuries.

Nevertheless, despite remaining fit for much of 2022-23, the 31-year-old finds himself well down the pecking order under Carlo Ancelotti.

At a time when Hazard has less than 19 months remaining on his contract and has featured just once for Real since the middle of October, Los Blancos would be open to parting ways with the player in January.

However, Hazard suggested in an interview last month that he will only consider leaving Real at the end of the season, effectively ruling out a January exit.

According to L'Equipe, Hazard has identified a switch to the United States as one of his preferred destinations.

The report suggests that Hazard feels that he may be able to revive his career with a spell in the MLS, which is attracting more and more high-profile names.

Rumours persist that the likes of Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi and Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets could both move to the division in 2023.

While Hazard has cited family reasons as a reason why he will not consider a January exit, he now has fewer commitments away from club football.

Earlier this month, Hazard announced that he was retiring from international football with Belgium after the nation's poor World Cup campaign.

Hazard, who sits in second place in the all-time Belgium goalscoring charts, started fixtures against Canada and Morocco before being dropped for the crucial meeting with Croatia, which ended goalless.

He will hope to be named in Ancelotti's squad when Real resume their La Liga schedule with a match at Real Valladolid on December 30.
