Rotherham United manager Steve Evans believes that "luck" evaded his team this afternoon in their 2-1 defeat to Birmingham City at St Andrew's.
Matt Derbyshire struck after the break, but first-half goals from Robert Tesche and Clayton Donaldson were enough for the Blues to wrap up victory.
"We've given them a hiding in the second half but we go away with nothing," Evans told Rotherham's official website. "We showed the character that we asked them to respond with and we laid siege to their goal for a period of time.
"We perhaps needed a little more calmness and patience in that final third - Jack Hunt in particular got himself in three or four good positions but we just didn't get that little bit of luck."
The Millers are currently four points above relegation from the Championship.
