Tottenham Hotspur's Nacer Chadli out for six weeks

Ankle ligament damage rules Tottenham Hotspur winger Nacer Chadli out of action for the next six weeks.

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Nacer Chadli will be sidelined for the next six weeks.

The winger was stretchered off during the 0-0 draw against Liverpool at the weekend with what appeared to be an ankle injury.

Subsequent assessment has revealed that the 26-year-old has damaged his ligaments, which has ruled him out of action until the beginning of December.

"Further assessment and investigation has confirmed that @NChadli suffered ankle ligament damage vs. Liverpool," read a statement on the club's official Twitter feed.

"The @BelRedDevils midfielder was forced off with the injury and is expected to be sidelined for around six weeks."

The 26-year-old has made 11 appearances in all competitions for Spurs this season, scoring one goal in the process.
