Hugo Lloris has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are making progress in their bid to become a tougher team to beat.
In recent seasons Spurs have been accused of slipping to defeat too easily against the bigger sides in the Premier League, but Lloris believes that Mauricio Pochettino's charges can take confidence from Sunday's goalless draw against the in-form Manchester United.
"I think we are improving. Defensively, we are stronger than at the beginning of the season," the French goalkeeper told reporters.
"We didn't play great football but we showed a lot of character because we were fighting a lot and until the end we were believing that we could get the three points.
"I remember we had some bad games last season and we had the feeling that we gave up a bit."
Spurs will look to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to six games when they host leaders Chelsea on New Year's Day.
