Tottenham's Danny Rose set for permanent Newcastle United move?

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly tell Newcastle United that on-loan full-back Danny Rose will be available on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made it clear that Newcastle United loanee Danny Rose is available on a permanent basis this summer.

Rose joined the Magpies until the end of the season in January and has quickly established himself in the first team, making six appearances to date including five Premier League starts.

The 29-year-old's Tottenham contract does not expire until next year, but the Northern Echo reports that he will be allowed to leave the club at the end of the current campaign.

Rose is deemed surplus to requirements by Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, who is understood to favour Ben Davies at left-back, meaning that the North London outfit will look to cash in on the England international.

Newcastle are keen to sign the defender on a permanent basis too, having seen him help the club to three clean sheets from his six outings so far.

Rose has been with Tottenham since 2007, making 214 appearances for the club across all competitions.
