Bordeaux have reportedly won the race to sign Sunderland forward Josh Maja.
The 20-year-old is currently regarded as one of the top prospects outside of the top two divisions in English football, and 15 goals have been scored from 25 outings in League One this season.
However, Maja has less than six months remaining on his contract and that has allegedly led to interest from the likes of Cardiff City and West Ham United, but it appears that the youngster has opted to move to France.
According to Sky Sports News, Bordeaux are ready to spend in the region of £3.5m to push through the signing of Maja before the end of the month.
The report suggests that a deal still needs to be confirmed by both clubs, but that it appears likely that the Black Cats will sell the academy graduate in the coming days.
