Former Premier League official Dermot Gallagher has backed the referee's decision to disallow a goal scored by Swansea City against Bournemouth.
Just before half time, Swansea thought that they had opened the scoring at the Liberty Stadium when Wilfried Bony converted from close range, only for the referee to award Bournemouth a free kick for a foul by Jordan Ayew on Nathan Ake.
Swansea head coach Paul Clement has criticised the performance of the referee in South Wales, but Gallagher insists that there was little to debate.
Gallagher told Sky Sports News: "The referee has blown up early. He has given the foul and people know he has given it. I think he has eased him off. He has used his arm."
The match eventually ended in a goalless draw, with Swansea remaining in the relegation zone in the Premier League standings.
