Watford midfielder Ben Watson has committed the next two years to the club by signing a contract extension until 2018 at Vicarage Road.
The 30-year-old, who had one year remaining on his previous deal, was a regular feature in the team selected by recently-departed manager Quique Flores.
The club are yet to appoint a new manager, but Watson has opted to extend his stay after the Hornets comfortably secured survival in the Premier League.
Watson made 41 appearances, 35 of which were in the Premier League, this season, and managed to get on the scoresheet in games against Manchester City and West Bromwich Albion.
The midfielder joined the Hornets from Wigan Athletic in January 2015.
