Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders says that his players "believe" that they won't be relegated from the Championship.

Dean Saunders has insisted that his Wolverhampton Wanderers squad are still confident of securing their Championship status for another season.

Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic has left Wolves in the relegation zone with just two matches left to play.

However, despite the situation, Saunders has revealed that his players "believe" that they can pull themselves away from danger.

"It's sickening, really, but all is not lost. Other results have kept us in it – this week it could all reverse again," he is quoted as saying by the Express & Star. "The players believe they can do it and it's all to play for."

Next up for Wolves is a home encounter against Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
